Through the innovative use of RFMicron’s Chameleon™ technology, the Magnus family of ICs can be used as a proximity or positioning sensor.
Patented Chameleon™ technology senses the movement of liquids and metals nearer the sensor. When liquids and metals move closer to the sensor, the inductance of the tuning loop changes. The Chameleon Engine compensates for the inductance change, and this value can be accessed as a SENSOR CODE. The sensor reports closer proximity with higher sensor codes.
